Bracknell Rugby Club Statement on the move to step 2 of the Government easing of National Lockdown.

Amelia Whitbread

Update W/C 12th April

From week commencing the 12 April we are looking forward to welcoming our members, friends and families back to the club under the latest guidelines issued by the Government.
The club has published on its website and social media outlets the opening times and days as we get back into the swing of things.

From Friday 16 April our opening times are:
Friday – 12pm – 8pm
Saturday – 12pm – 8pm
Sunday – 12pm – 5pm

We are not yet back to a full set of opening times and as we move forward we will continually monitor the use of the bar versus the costs associated with opening.

We would just like to remind everyone what the guidelines are and how they will affect you to ensure your visit to the club is enjoyable.

Track & Trace
Every visitor aged 16 and over must check in to the club using NHS COVID-19 app to scan in the NHS QR code poster. Alternatively you can use the Tap my Data App.

The club will take reasonable steps to refuse entry to those who refuse to check in or provide contact details.

Clubhouse Bar
The Clubhouse Bar will be offering table service only for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as a limited food menu.

Orders for both food and drink will be taken from your table and contactless payment is preferred at all times.

Outdoor gatherings are currently limited to tables of six people or two households, with a support bubble counting as a single household.

The club is minded not to intentionally facilitate gatherings between a greater number of people than is permitted and will take steps to ensure compliance with social contact rules.

Takeaways

Unfortunately we are not able to offer takeaways at this time.

The Government guidance is that from Step 2, hospitality venues will be allowed to provide takeaway alcohol. However, takeaway food and drink (including alcohol) must not be consumed on the premises or adjacent to the premises.

The RFU have also recently reminded all clubs that catering facilities should follow the latest government guidance for hospitality venues. Premises can only offer food and non-alcoholic drinks for takeaway until 11pm.
Takeaway refreshment (coffees, teas etc.) should be taken away from the premises entirely, which includes any adjoining pitches owned and managed by the club, to ensure that there is no risk to their premises licence or club premises certificate. Clubs should not encourage gatherings.

Toilets

Toilet facilities will be available as usual but with reduced capacity to retain social distancing.

You must wear a mask when ever you are in the clubhouse.

We will keep this all under review in line with any changes from Government.

We ask that everyone who uses the clubs facilities does so in line with these restrictions and supports the clubhouse manager and her staff in applying these rules.

We do not want to place any further restrictions on our members so its is down to everyone to ensure the step 2 changes are followed for the benefit of everyone.

Keep an eye on the clubs social media sites and website for any changes to the opening times and if you have any questions on this then please forward to office@bracknellrugbyclub.com

Thank you and look forward to seeing you soon.
