Another early start for the Newbury festival, but again the spirits were high.

The boys were selected into their teams blacks A team and greens B team.

First up for the A team was the Ensians, a revenge match for the London Irish Festival was firmly in mind, and the boys didn't disappoint.
We started sharply with Sam Reynolds grabbing a great running try. We traded tries with 2 more from Aden Studd, good hands and another from lighting fast Sam Reynolds, made the score 3-3.
Aden Studd was then tagged on the line so the ball was passed to Alistair Brown to dab home, Sam Reynolds grabbed his third try to finish off 5-4 win. Revenge was ours, well done

Next up Topsham, a very tight game which kept us parents son the edge and the boys on their toes. Sam Reynolds weaves through to score followed by a forceful run by Lawrence Bland 2-2 all. Elliot Des Forges scored next at the end of a series of nice passing.
Jed Crerar and Toby Jackson chipped in with a try each after more good work by the team, after a tense couple of minutes Bracknell won 7-5

Devonport Services were up next after a lengthy break.
Sam Reynolds again opened the scoring with a great run, but Devonport responded after Bracknell's tagging went to sleep. Jed Crerar dabbed down next after a turnover, next came Toby Jackson after some good passing play by the boys. Jed grabbed his brace in style by weaving through Devonport, not to be outdone, Sam run his brace in style, his pace left Devonport dead. Spencer Hayhow chipped in with good dummies. With the score 6-5, Devonport broke through the black line, with the try line at their mercy only for Edward Boseley and Spencer Bounds to cover across and make the challenge and for Spencer Bounds to grab the tag, and Edward and Spencer Bounds ending in a pile, great work Bracknell.

Another win to us making 3 wins in a row.

Windsor next, always a nasty encounter and this one didn't disappoint. It was very even with a lot of tagging and lots of turnover ball. Lawerence Bland broke the Windsor line to score 1-1, great work. Jed Crerar made it 2-1 after more strong running and vision. This game had lot's of incidents namely Alistair Brown head butt, lot's of barging, shielding of the ball, Spencer Bounds shirt being pulled, more contact than the under 9's!!
Tom Lawton Davies grabbed the draw with a nice try after some good work in the middle, 3-3 draw. Ellis Hopkins and Spencer Hayhow will take some beating next season with their size and strong running, 2 watch next season.

We went through to the final and faced Southend, we were well beaten by a good organised Southend team. The highlights being Toby Jackson's try and Sam Reynolds giving a little relief and the unstoppable Jed Crerar, rounding off a good day.

We may of been runners up, but the boys played brilliantly and should be very proud of themselves. Isle of Wight next and if we play like we did on Sunday then we will do well.
Once again thanks to all the coaches.
