U8's B team come 3rd at Abbey

First up was Bracknell vs Wallingford.
The boys started well tagging as a team, but Wallingford struck first from the re-start, Benjamin Wright ran hard but lost the ball, only for Ellis Hopkins to score in the corner, nice work.
Next attack Wallingford dropped the ball and Spencer Bounds pounced 2-1 Bracknell. Then Jack Riley and Spencer Bounds both linked well for 2 tries, scored both by Spencer Bounds
4-4 draw

Second up Abbey B
An early try by Ethan Lacey got us flying along, Abbey replied 1-1. Billy Barmby scored making it 2-1 Bracknell. There was a lot of pressure from the boys with a great solo run from Cameron Fotheringham, one to note, Abbey scored again, then Jack Riley and Spencer Bounds combined again for a great passing try.
The teams traded tries with a good series of tries by the strong running of Ellis Hopkins and a solo try by Jack Riley, then the ever available William Hullis weighed in with 2 good tries to help his team. Abbey also kept scoring, it was tight, then the impressive pair Jack Riley and Spencer Bounds combined for Spencer to score, only to loose at the death of 9-8 Abbey, unlucky.

Next up Bracknell vs Reading
We started well with excellent running by Ethan Lacey completed by the dynamic Ross, good try well done. We turned over Reading, followed by a solo try by Jack Riley, well done 2-0 Bracknell. A Reading try narrowed it, just to be knocked back by the wing wizard Spencer Bounds solo try. Reading replied to be stunned by the hard working Ross to score again. Reading again came back, but the boys dug deep and replied again by hat trick Ross (he's the one to watch). Then to finish Reading off Spencer Bounds scored again, sporting a split lip and Cameron went off with a bad hand, ice packs all round. Good win 6-4

Bracknell - Aylesbury
Right from the start Spencer strikes 1-0, then again Ross scores, excellent try, well done.
Spencer then scores again, making it 2 tries in 2 minutes, they are doing well 3-0 Bracknell. Then we turned over the ball and Ross grabs another great try, great stuff. Aylesbury scored a couple of tries to tighten it up 4-2, then the dynamic duo Jack and Spencer strike again, with Spencer on Jack's shoulder, good try Spencer.
Then the boys combined the game, try scored by Jack Riley, they were tagging well and scoring at will, Jack struck again, great solo effort for the team. 7-4 win for Bracknell

Last game big effort for the boys, they still needed to get them tags.

Bracknell vs Ensians
Cameron ran well but just went into touch twice, he was playing well today. Ensians struck first 1-0, then Jack supplied Spencer for him to score again, making it level. The boys were tagging well and trying their hardest.
Jack Riley scored a lovely try, the boys remembered about running the channels and passing the ball, the ball is faster than the man, great try Jack. Ensians were let into the game by poor tagging. Spencer scored a great turnover try from his try line, they just couldn't catch him today. Ethan Lacey nearly scored but knocked on, unlucky, good play, then the ever ready Ross just missed. Ellis Hopkins scored 2 tries with very strong running, a one to watch for next season in the pack. The last try was a great Spencer and Jack combo with Billy Barmby scoring , well done great effort but we lost 7-6

So we lost 2, drew 1 and won 2. A great effort by all the boys, Cameron and Ross look good for the future, Ethan, William and Billy great running and always ready. Jack great passing and a great partner for Spencer, wing wizard. Ellis Hopkins very strong, check out the game face, scary.
