Welcome Back to Bracknell RFC

A warm welcome to all of our new joiners and of course all our returning players to the 2017/18 Season.

This season sees us start our journey as a stand alone age group. Over the summer the coaching team have invested in new equipment, sourced more resources and even maintained/improved their own fitness by attending Pre-Season training with the Senior Players. Rumours are abound of call ups to the 3XV for a couple of coaches. Good Luck with that!

This week was about getting the players back to playing and giving the new players an introduction to the basics.
On the increased size of Pitches this year, passing and support play will be the key to creating space for scoring opportunities as well as an organised defence.

Our aim over the next 3 sessions will be to provide the new players with some focused training time to bring them up to speed and allowing them to practice this in game scenarios. All of the players will need time to adapt to the larger playing area and to acknowledge that teamwork is how good Rugby develops and that every player has a job to do no matter how big or small.

We will do this subliminally with fun games and drills and hopefully achieve. The new U8's Rules of Play can be found here:-
