Reading festival

This weekend the A&B teams took part in the Reading Rugby Festival. It was pleasing to see further improvement from both teams albeit not reflected I the results.

U8 - B team:

V Maidenhead – Lost 2-8
Tries: Joel (2)
A good start with Joel missing a near try and some great tagging especially from Harris. Maidenhead held to a 2-0 lead. Better passing in the second half but Maidenhead ran well and held strong formation gaining a further 6 tries. Joel scored two fabulous tuning ties to bring the final result to 8-2

V Redingensians – Lost 3-6
Tries: Oski and Joel (2)
A much more positive start with better passing and an early try from Oski. Joel continued to gain a further 2. The latter resulting from a lovely pass from Elliott. The final score 6-3

Abbey - Lost 10-4
Tries: Joel (4)
Tough game with a lack of tagging on our side. Harris was unlucky with a missed try in the first half and Joel scored 2 finishing half time at 4-2. Two extra tries from Joel took Bracknell to 4, Alas Abbey ran home a further 6 winning 10-4

V Reading – Drew 2-2
Tries: Joel (2)
Ahead 2-1 at half time, Bracknell were like accurately team. Great tagging and focus ensured a number of turnover balls. Reading came back with an equalising try (2-2) but Bracknell played their best in this final match. Joel scored the 2 Bracknell tries.
