Maidenhead Festival 2012

This weekend the A&B teams took part in the Maidenhead Rugby Festival. The weather was perfect and the teams all showed improvements after last week’s tournament. The A team played 3 pool games followed by Semi-final and playoff for 3rd / 4th, while the B team played 4 pool games.

v Henley - lost 5-7
Tries: Christian 3, Harry, Joel
A tight match where we were caught out early on in the game. Showed a lot of team spirit to continue to fight hard and deserved the five tries we scored

v Maidenhead Bears – Lost 3-9
Tries: Christian 2, Harry
Fought well, with the move of the game coming from a perfectly timed pass from Harry to Christian who with his pace sliced through the Bears defence

v Maidenhead Dragons – Won 3-2
Tries: Christian 2, Joel
A very well deserved victory for all the hard work over the previous games coming together. Great tagging across the whole team defended our narrow margin

v Marlow– Lost 1-8
Tries: William
Convincingly out played, but the whole team persevered from start to finish. After a long bout of tagging and turnover ball a brilliant team push was rewarded with our only try of the game from our newest member of the team
