Training on Pitch 2

Hi All

As with usual, a full report has been emailed to those that attended the session.

We met with the weather and pitch really showing signs that winter had started to bite. After a very brief chat we went straight into the session to try and keep everyone warm. We rotated the kids through a selection of games designed to promote the session aims of reinforcing core techniques and finding space.

The kids seemed to greatly enjoy these games despite the bitter wind and temperatures.

We then paused for two minutes of beautifully observed silence due to it being Remembrance Sunday.

After this was completed then the coaches agreed to finish the session early as the conditions really had started to bite.

James S was awarded trainer of the week for his effort, commitment and skills. Well done James, richly deserved!!

We would always recommend layers, layers and more layers and an email has been sent out regarding cold weather clothing but we cannot stress enough the importance of being dressed for the environment.

Next week the whole squad visits Maidenhead RFC for a joint training session and details for this have already been sent. I am back on the ERCA course, day 2, so will see you all on Sunday 26th when we welcome Farnham.
