Tries, Tenacity and Teamwork

Wow, what a day. We are extremely grateful for our friends at Maidenhead to hosting the festival and our two mixed ability squads all gave everything.

There were some fantastic tries on show (one in particular made supporters of both teams give fantastic applause!) but the pleasing thing was the ‘never give up spirit’ and the way the players worked as a team. Yes, mistakes were made (stay on the pitch!!) and there is plenty to work on both the raw materials of effort, commitment and a willingness to listen is there.

Lessons will be learned such as ‘don’t let their star / huge player run at you’ but an overwhelming sense of pride is the lasting feeling is of pride of a group of players that showed all the requirements, of sport and life, that is needed to succeed.

Thanks to everyone who supported us, you were a credit to the club.
