The first full fixture for the Bracknell A team this season saw them take on a fast and skillful but lightweight Havant side. The Bracknell scrum dominated and pushed the oppanents off the ball and harried them in the loose. The result was 3 tries for Luke Bull that typified the effort from the forwards on the day. Other tries cam from Paddy Spiers, James Miles and Jake Stone. Credit should also go to Liam Collins and Toby Hullis who were both playing at a team level for the first time and performed well.
The day ended with somewhat of an anticlimax when in the reverse fixture Bracknell A took on Havant B and only came away with a 0-0 draw! The Havant B team wasnt as skilful as their A team but had a few more players with the willingness to graft in the tight. Bracknell took too long to realise that they needed to use a bit more team work and use their faster runners in space the win this game and despite getting close to or over the try line on several occasions couldn't force the winning score.
