To expand on today's efforts at the Grove 7's today..
We started the day with 21 players, a good blend of the senior and junior colts. The main aim of the day was to give the lads an opportunity to integrate as a squad, and of course have some fun.
Bracknell 'Gold' and Bracknell 'Black' found themselves in two challenging groups, and with some great displays, real endeavour, pace, power and precision found both teams qualifying for the Plate Semi-finals... To play each other!!!!!!
If it was ever possible to play a Semi-Final with a smile on your face, this was the game... Hammer and tongs were thrown, egos dented and enhanced, and ultimately a resounding win for the the 'Golds'... But more importantly, the bonding process was complete, mutual respect gained and the smiles remained.
So the 'Golds' progressed to dominate a Chinnor 7, and win the Plate 50 - 10... Well done guys, it was thoroughly deserved...
Ultimately the winner was unity, the unity of this squad that will now take on the challenges of the forthcoming season, together, brothers-in-arms...
Well done to, all those involved...
