For the second time in two weeks, the 13As crossed the fifty point barrier; this time with a 75-0 victory in the league over Maidenhead. In fact, in the last three weeks, the team have scored 158 points and conceded only 7 (to an interception against Reeds and the ensuing conversion).
It took a little longer to get things moving this week with six people touching the ball before we took the lead (as opposed to one last week, with Joshua Zeller finishing off a flowing backs move to score the first of his two tries under the posts with only a minute on the clock with Matthew Dalrymple adding the first of ten conversions!
Further scores came from:
Alex Macdonald (2)
Alexander Robinson (2)
Ben Clark (1)
Ben Torr (1)
Kane O'Leary (1)
Sam Clough (1)
Sam Faulkner (1)
The champagne moment of the day was Alex Macdonald's first try following an audacious back of the hand flick pass from Joshua Zeller to offload the ball after a last ditch tackle by the Maidenhead defence. Those training sessions on hard courts when the rain had virtually washed Bracknell's pitches away has paid off!
