After a bitterly disappointing result against Newbury the week before the Bracknell juggernaut was keen to get rolling again against Fullerians.

Unfortunately the engine suffered a few misfires during the game and we came away second best in an encounter that we probably should have won.

Our pack was in dominant form and it was while the scrums were uncontested that the Fullerians No 8 scored two tries from close in. I have had words with my son over his destruction of the Loose Head that caused this crisis as Fullerians were struggling to win any ball on their own feed without some judicious interpretation of the word "straight"!

Having said that the Fullerians players refused to give up and it was their ability to hang on that ultimately saw them come out on top with a missed conversion being the difference between the teams.
