Bracknell U13s beat Hemel Hempstead 44 -7

Bracknell U13’s played Hemel Hempstead on Sunday. Hemel are traditionally a tough team and did make it difficult at times for Bracknell.
Bracknell’s team play was superb the backs and forwards all performing well. Tries came from the wings, centres and the back row.
Bracknell started very brightly scoring after very early with Elliot Garrington providing a lovely offload to Luke Schofield to go over in the corner, and Conal Watterson added the conversion.
The scrum was absolutely solid all day winning all their own put ins and also turning over the opposition on all but one occasion, this gave the backline a solid base from which to work.
The backs used the width of the pitch exceptionally well and scored another from the wing shortly afterwards again converted by Conal. Not to be outdone the forwards manufactured a chance for No8 Ryan Howe to get across the line twice to score. Hemel fought hard and did not give up and were rewarded with a good try. In general the contest in the middle of the field was dominated by Bracknell with the flankers Thomas Slark and Oliver Crookall rucking very well to secure multiple phases of play.
The second half saw more of the same but with a change of No.8 to Tyler White who used the opportunity well and scored two more tries.
The whole squad was congratulated on a fine performance by the opposition coaches who made comment about the good continuity play from both the forwards and the backs. Special mention’s should also go to Daniel McVeigh for his throwing in the lineout’s and Max Heaver for his ball distribution from number 10.
