The Stormer played a stormer to bag 2 wins

HOME BRACKNELL PITCH 1 SUNDAY 20TH OCTOBER KICK OFF 12AM

Bracknell Stormers fielded a mixed Squad team of all available Stormers and any gaps filled by Canes players , Chobham had all the B team players available to this match.
Chobham kicked off and within 3 minutes BRFC second-rower Sam S. stormed over to score. Geoffrey M. added the conversion,7-0 to Bracknell.
The Bracknell boys began to dominate and after more fluid passing down the line, winger Sam P. scored under the posts, Geoffrey M. converted, 14-0 to Bracknell.
The game flowed backwards and forwards with both sets of players putting in some fine tackling and running the ball at every opportunity. Chobham never gave up and just before the final whistle they scored in the corner to reduce the deficit and finish the game 14-5 to Bracknell Stormers.

The third game of the morning comprised of a mixed team to ensure all the boys had at least 40 minutes of rugby but Bracknell were down to only 16 fit players after several of them had taken heavy knocks over the course of the morning.
This game proved to be the closest and most competitive of all of them but within 8 minutes Chobham had stamped their mark on the game with a score in the corner, 5-0 to Chobham. Then they created an overlap to make it 10-0 on the right-hand side and another interception in midfield to make it 17-0 to Chobham and it looked like Bracknell were down and out.

It wasn’t to be. The Bracknell boys battled hard and after another injury resulted in an uncontested scrum close to Chobham’s line. Bracknell had the put-in and Sam S. who had moved to No. 8 picked up at the back of the scrum and was unstoppable as he drove over the line, 17-5 to Chobham. Five minutes later winger Sam P. was put into space and he outran the Chobham defenders to score and make it 17-10 to Chobham.
Bracknell was back in it and after some more pressure on the Chobham’s midfield the ball went lose for Geoff M to fly hack the ball on for Zach P. to chase down, who was held back and most certainly would have scored but was only awarded a penalty rather than a penalty try ( by his dad who was referring ) From the penalty Bracknell ran the ball for winger Sam P. to score, 17-17. Zach P. stepped up and calmly slotted the extras to finish 19-17 to Bracknell.

It was a great bounce back after a poor start to the day.

The Bracknell coaches awarded Sam P. with the backs Man of the Match for his overall performance and Gabiso B with the forward's Man of the Match for his superb tackling and his commitment at the rucks and his 1st games in Bracknell colours.
