After a slow start, the Thirds made their forward dominance tell with, eventually, four well worked tries (the tries should soon be shown on the highlights video in the video section of this site).
The game was played mostly in the Aldermaston half of the pitch. The dominance of the Bracknell forwards was shown by Bracknell scrum marching forward seemingly at will, the superior lineout and the number of turnovers at both the scrum and in the loose.
In terms of individual contributions...Ni Butler's scores were clearly critical, David Rosi's bossiness was rewarded with two tries while Stuart Layes' sidestep brought gasps of appreciation from the crowd, lured from the comfort of the bar to cheer on an increasingly dominant Bracknell.
With dominance of territory and possession the Bracknell coaches and players will have to take a good look at why more points were not earned. Credit must go to a gutsy Aldermaston defence but a combination of poor final ball and dodgy decision making conspired to limit Bracknell to four tries.
So, three wins out of three, second in the table (on points difference), and away to the undefeated Shire Hall next week....
