Steve's funeral will take place on Thursday 16th April and will be for family and close friends by invitation. On the day Steve's funeral cortège will pass through the Wellington College grounds arriving at the West Gate of Wellington College at 0950. It will then, with an escort from Security, travel the kilometre south down North Front, left along the front of the College, right at the end of Combermere, right along South Front, past Apsley, past the Sports Centre and Grubbies, and then leave the College via the West Gate.

Those wishing to pay your respects and requiring a quiet and contemplative moment of mourning, the North Front would be an appropriate place to stand for the cortège. For those who would prefer a louder appreciation of Steve’s final journey through College, then South Front will offer a lighter, brighter tone.

No notice is required for the 16th but should you wish to attend please be at Wellington College and parked by 09:40. Please do not park along the route of the cortège.

Anticipated timings are:

On Friday 17th April at 3pm there will be a memorial service in the Wellington College Chapel which is open to all friends and colleagues to celebrate Steve’s life. Everyone who knew Steve is most welcome. As you might expect from Steve and his family, they have requested no black in mourning, but a celebration of his life.

There will be refreshments afterwards in the Dining Hall and then drinks at Napoleon's Retreat.
