Howard passed away on Monday (Nov 30th) after what we believe was a short illness. He was 46 years old.
'Lamby' joined the club in 1995 and was instrumental in the success of the club under Paul Rendall, when we were promoted 5 times in 6 seasons and we enjoyed one season (2001/2) in the heady heights of Level 2 i.e. the league that is now called The Championship. He also played in the team that won the clubs first ever Berkshire Cup (1995/6).
A giant of a man on the pitch and a gentleman in the bar afterwards. A knee injury forced him to hang up his boots in 2002.
He is widely regarded as one of the very best players who has ever worn the Bracknell Shirt. More recently he was a regular follower of the Club.
Howard will be sadly missed by all at Bracknell Rugby Football Club.
Our thoughts are with his family and in particular his Daughter Zoey at this sad time.
Funeral arrangements will be announced when we have them.
