Esher ply their trade in Surrey Division 3 so it was always going to be a tricky encounter, but with several drop outs due to injuries, including one during the warm up, and one shortly after the start, the challenge was heightened for the boys.
4 tries in each half was a fair reflection of the balance of the game, although it would be true to say that some of the Bracknell play – at times – lacked a little “lustre”. Naturally Oakley and Fraser put in some fine tackles, and Ryan put in some barnstorming runs, but there was little consistency in the performance this week, and it was made a little too easy for the Esher boys.
Other highlights were Lewis, Alfie and Max covering in the backs at times, Kai stepping into the forwards, Tim at Fly Half and a good debut for the club at Lock for (tall) Josh E.
