Bracknell 2nd team continued their winning start to the season in a hard fought encounter over London Cornish. Bracknell started well playing down the hill and opened up an early lead with a short range crash over try from Matt Brambley. Bracknell quickly added a second when Va'a Mulipola touched down from a well executed catch and drive from a 5 metre line out before London Cornish replied thanks to some generous "tackling" from Bracknell. The lead was extended to 21-7 going into the break after left wing Scottish Andy finished off some flowing rugby in the highlight of the days play.
The bad habits remained as Bracknell took their foot off the gas and allowed London Cornish back into the game in the second half. A score for the visitors and some poor individual errors from the home team made for a tight but ugly start to the second half. Bracknell regained their composure to re-establish a two score lead during a prolonged period of pressure. The home team were awarded a penalty try for a deliberate knock on by the visitors to deny a simple touch down by one of three unmarked Bracknell backs waiting out wide. The visitors finished off the scoring with a break away try in the last play of the day as Bracknell held on for a deserved but disjointed win.
