Completing the Clubs double over Redingensians, Bracknell 2nds, because of a superior point’s average stays ahead of Worthing.

Bracknell’s team is made up mainly from ex and current DHL Academy players who with the senior players combine well enough to test any team in this league and possibly some above.

They have both pace and a solid defence using these to causing 3rd place Redingensians trouble for 90% of the match. Ryan Dee, Antonio Gibbons and finally Matt Morris scored the tries with Morris converting one of them.

Manager Greg Anstead was again impressed with his young crusaders but had time to mention the efforts of Alan Leishman and ‘Man of the Match’ Kyle Lovell who showed their experience.

He also said,” The last try was a true classic when in extra time 18 year old Luke Carter had a free kick and chipped it across the field to a waiting Morris who strolled in unmarked.

It was a professional move that goes to show just how far these boys have come and it is a pleasure watching them develop week by week.”

This weekend they play hosts to Rosslyn Park Development, kick off 2:15pm.
