Shelford 2nds 27 v Bracknell 2nds 24

A second defeat in a row hasn’t helped Bracknell’s 2nd team cause in challenging for promotion. Despite scoring first through a Will Samuels and leading by 0-7, Bracknell allowed Shelford pull back and move into a 24-7 lead at half time.

The second half saw Bracknell move up a gear with tries from Matt Bramley and another from Samuels but they gave away a soft penalty with 10 minutes to go to enable the home team win by 27-24.

Manager Greg Anstead remained confidant indicating that the performance had indicated to him the players who were prepared to go the extra mile in the teams cause. He said” I admit that I am disappointed with the result and performance of some individuals because they have proved to me that they are currently not playing well enough for this level. Training will be a painful experience as I look to toughen up these people.”

Bracknell 2nd's play at home to Barnstaple this Saturday.
