The second half was kicked off by Bracknell playing away from the clubhouse. The injury stoppages were building up and after 4 in this half, Bracknell secured the try bonus point. A penalty, a rolling maul at the far end, Bracknell scored with the conversion good, the score was now 24-7, unfortunately scorer was unknown due to the distance away.

Just after the restart, Bracknell were putting together another good backs move, when there was another stoppage. This injury was much more serious and the Grove player was carried off on a stretcher with a neck brace after 15 minutes of medical attention.

The match was becoming a bit scrappy at this point, with another couple of time offs for injuries. Bracknell recovered well from the revitalised Grove attacks and made the final score of the match. A scrappy lineout from Grove resulted in a scrum for a knock-on which was won by Bracknell, six phases later, a penalty scrum was awarded after a free ball kicked did not gain an advantage. From the penalty an attacking kick and with the ball retained, the backs had the ball down the line to Simon Bayliss on the wing, who dotted the ball down in the corner. With the attempted conversion hitting the post, the final score was 29-14. With

time running out and two further stoppages, the last Grove attack ended when the ball was kicked and went in to touch and the final whistle blown.
