Cleve travelled eastward down the M4 to Bracknell, who were hoping to avoid a repeat of the 57-13 thrashing that Cleve had inflicted on them earlier in the season,
The club, as a way of a thank you, hosting a pre match lunch for a number of volunteers that have contributed so much of their time over the season, a big thank you to all those volunteers.
In the first half Bracknell played towards the clubhouse. It was Cleve who were to open the scoring after three minutes, a good break down Bracknell’s right saw second row Ollie Massey score. A conversion by full back Joe Hall opened up a 0-7 Cleve lead. Five minutes later a Joe Hall penalty extended the Cleve lead to ten points.
On the quarter of an hour mark Bracknell responded. Some slick play between backs and forwards saw the ball make its way to Simon Bayliss. A deft clip over around the Cleve defence and a foot race saw him dot the ball down for Bracknell’s opening score. Chris Laidler wide with the conversion attempt.
Bracknell now enjoying more of the territory drew the scores level with a Kim Plant try following a number of rucks on the Cleve try line. Conversion missed.
With the last play of the half, Bracknell took the lead with a Chris Laidler penalty, the Cleve defensive line being caught offside.

Cleve started the second half the better of the two sides. This not helped by a yellow card for Kim Plant for a high tackle. Bracknell now reduced in numbers did not let this affect them, converting some early pressure into a third try. Ben Saunders breaking the Cleve defensive line to score. Conversion missed. 18-10.
With the pitch getting heavy the numbers were equaled when a Cleve player received a yellow card for a dangerous tackle. Bracknell sealed the win with an Ian Burch try following a grubber kick by Peceli Nacamavuto. Chris Laidler adjusted his previous wayward aim and kicked the conversion. 25-10.
A late Chris Laidler penalty took Bracknell’s lead to 28-10. In the dying moments Bracknell had Liam Goodison yellow carded but this did not affect the deserved Bracknell Victory.
