There is much to do and not enough people to do it!

TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS

It's with a great deal of disappointment that I am announcing the resignation of our club chairman, Clive Field. Clive has served the club with great diligence, enthusiasm and an inclusive leadership style over the past few years, firstly as a mini & junior coach, then as Vice Chair, and most recently as Chair for the past 2 years.

As many of you will know there are a number of complex challenges facing the club at the moment, all of which need careful and detailed attention. The current lack of support has led Clive to conclude that he is unable to continue with this task and he has therefore decided to stand down from his role as Chair with immediate effect. We are grateful for all he has done up to this point and wish him all the very best for the future.

The Executive Committee has agreed to hold the club's AGM on 16th May and in due course the relevant notices will be posted. In the meantime I will assume the post of Interim Chairman and endeavour to navigate us through the current projects.

On a linked note, and indeed to echo much of what Clive has said previously, there is much to do and not enough people to do it! We genuinely need more volunteers with a range of business, commercial and practical skills and experience. If anyone feels they may have something to offer, please speak with myself or any of the committee.

Finally, I hope to issue a more detailed update on the various projects that are underway, over the next week or so. Please bear with me in the meantime.

Yours in rugby

Ray Brown
Vice Chairman
