3rd
& 4th XV Training
Training is every
Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 7:00pm
The 3rd and 4th team squad have their own dedicated
coach and
have regular input from the senior squad and guest
coaches through
the season.
On Tuesdays we concentrate on drills, exercises, routines and
so on.
During the season, Thursdays are 'squad nights', where we train
in preparation for the forthcoming Saturday matches, running through
moves and getting the backs and forwards working as units. We also
run 'clinics' for the various positions, where a guest coach or
senior squad member will take away those that play in that particular
position for a master class.
During the pre-season, Thursdays are run much like Tuesdays.
Food is available after training, as well as a hard earned drink!
What do I need to bring to training?
- Training kit (shirt, shorts, etc) - naked training is only
for the very brave
- Boots - when the ground is soft enough
- Trainers - if the ground is hard (astro-turf boots or moulded
studs are ideal)
- Gum Shield - gotta stay looking pretty!
- Mosquito spray - essential during the summer; you will get
bitten to death otherwise.
- Shower kit - or you can go home minging!
